I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs using a blend of theories and approaches including…trauma-informed therapy, social justice counseling, emotion focused therapy, somatic practices, wilderness therapy, mindfulness, gestalt therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, and strengths-based therapy.

Working with me will be… 

  • Tailored to fit your needs and goals. We will co-creatively determine goals for our work together and continually adjust to create what you really want from the therapy experience. 

  • Experiential. In addition to traditional talk-therapy, we’ll utilize experiential activities and practices focused on connection to the body, emotions, unconscious parts, and deep desires.

Working with me will not be… 

  • Me telling you what to do. I believe that you are the expert of your own life. While I will guide you through practices and processing, learning and growth, I will not tell you how to “fix” things. Together, we’ll tap into the wisdom that already exists within you. 

  • A venting session. While talking is helpful (and we will talk), if we rehearse the same naratives again and again, how will we move into anything else?  I will work with you to shift out of the stuck stories through focus on emotions and embodiment.

Wilderness-based psychotherapy sessions offered in Spanish and English.

Experience the healing power and lessons of nature with sessions in the outdoors of Boulder, CO. 

These 50-minute sessions are offered in Spanish or English. 

The wild outside of us reflects the wild within ourselves, and visa versa. When we get to know the outer landscape and how to move through it we also learn to navigate our inner valleys, peaks, and prairies.

I show up to outdoor sessions rain, shine, or hail (safety precautions permitting). Often nature provides unexpected lessons when we lean into the discomfort and unknown of what is happening in the natural world. Of course, you are welcome to shift your session online for your comfort and needs.
